Blessing the Community
The idea behind Blessing the Community is to demonstrate God's love for people in a practical and generous way. As a church we want to help meet the needs of individuals and communities in Cardiff. We don’t believe the church should be hidden away in a building, but instead be right at the centre of the community.
The perception of many people is that the church is always asking for money and is pretty irrelevant to everyday life. So this is a way of giving back and demonstrating, in a small way, God’s extravagant love for us. We will therefore be organizing practical events throughout Cardiff to regularly bless the city through whole church events and also through Small Groups.

Ignite Hope Weekend 2010
As part of the “Ignite Hope” weekend, we joined with churches around Cardiff and South Wales in organising events and projects to bless local communities. Our project involved offering free snacks, hot and cold drinks and prayer in the city centre.
Carol singing, present wrapping and giveaway
We spent an afternoon in the city centre wrapping shoppers' presents for free, giving away mince pies and chocolate, and singing carols to passers by.
Litter pick
We spent a morning in Bute town clearing up litter from a local park and residential area. We managed to collect over 16 large bin bags!
Chocolate give-away and prayer
We went out a few times onto the streets of Cardiff City Centre to give away chocolate and offer to pray for people.
